Roll up your car window and stay safe

FERNDALE – Randburg Police Station says they have put out dozens of pleas for the community to be more aware of their surroundings and where their valuables are.

Randburg Police Station gives a stern warning to motorists to be more vigilant with their belongings while travelling around the community.

This comes after a victim of common robbery said he was travelling along Bram Fischer Drive when their cell phone was stolen through their open window.

The victim allegedly told the station that they were travelling towards Dover Street at about 6.30pm when they stopped at a red traffic light.

There the victim began to speak to a man selling goods on the street corner.

The victim said their phone was lying on the passenger seat with the passenger window opened to which the suspect then took the cell phone through the window and ran away.
