Coach, Gaby Salgado said she was very proud of how the women and girls have played and expected that they would keep improving.

“The team has unity, they have a collective team spirit and want to work hard for each other on the pitch,” she added. “They do not just play as individuals.”

Salgado said the players were dedicated and made her job as a coach easier.

“As a coach, I just need to understand how the players work and go according to our own strengths, and not worry too much about the opposing team.”

She said the team would compete in the Eastern Local Football Association league this summer before the RCLFA league comes around again.

“The Rand Central league will not be easy but I think we will be very competitive in it. I hope we can finish in the top three.”

Goalkeeper, Rosalie James must also practise her dribbling skills.
