Meridian Cosmo City School held its very own Thanksgiving event on 15 September.
The event was an opportunity for the school to give thanks and show their appreciation to the Cosmo City community for all their support towards the school.
It was executed in true South African style and involved a day of delicious feasting and fun-filled entertainment such as various dance performances, Zulu poetry reading and choir acts.
The Curro School, which opened its doors in 2015, invited more than 2 000 community members to fill up the school field to enjoy the celebrations.
Executive Head at Meridian Cosmo City Vusi Masuku said, “Our Thanksgiving ceremony was a great success and we were incredibly proud to celebrate the occasion with the Cosmo City community who have been a tremendous support for our school for the past three and a half years.
“We appreciate their trust and loyalty towards Curro and Meridian Cosmo City, allowing us to grow the young talent in the community.
Our event was marked by a great feast and joyous entertainment, touching on modern and traditional forms of performances by the learners.
“Meridian Cosmo City would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who joined us for the celebration.”
