Gert-Johan Coetzee is a renowned fashion designer who’s passion lies in his threads.
We have seen many South African celebrities rock his fashion on red carpets in and around the country, names like Bonang Matheba, Sarah Langa and Lira just to name a few.
The American reality star Laura Govan from Basketball Wives wore one of his exclusive garments at Coachella earlier on this year.
Coetzee also collaborated with McDonald’s in celebration of the Big Mac’s 50th birthday.
The designer is also a mentor for Project Runway, a reality TV competition where designers go head-to-head for the title of top designer. mentors them and helps them be the best they can be as he is also one of the best designers in the country.
“I like to explore the city. Johannesburg is one of the best places to live in because there is a variety of everything. Whether you’re looking for food, clothing, brands, there’s always something new. When I’m not out in the town I am in my studio in Linden, and that’s where the magic happens,” said Coetzee.
