Office National director Andre de Beer said, “As we are a company, it is important to us to be active in our community and ensure that children are well looked after. The school operates under very difficult circumstances, so we do whatever we can to alleviate their pressures.”

Office National has been supporting Zamokhule Aftercare for the past three years, donating groceries and stationery monthly to the school.

Speaking on the importance of the day, De Beer said, “Mandela Day helps to reiterate the hope that Mandela gave this country, we as a nation must never forget the sacrifices that he made for us, but more importantly, we need to look at the hope for the future that he gave us.”

The school’s manager, Ntabiseng Princess Kwakwari, also commented on the importance of the day and said, “I feel that Mandela Day is important, as it helps the children to learn about how we got our freedom,

“I am so grateful to everyone that has helped our school. Office National, for instance, started to feed our children when we didn’t have anything. Without all the help that we have received over the last three years, our school would not be the same.”
