BREAKING NEWS: Man found riddled with bullets in Strijdom Park

STRIJDOM PARK – An unknown man has been found dead in his car.

An unidentified male has been gunned down in Strijdom Park this afternoon.

According to an eyewitness, police and paramedics found the man’s lifeless body on the driver’s seat of his vehicle and nothing appeared to have been stolen.

The man sustained multiple injuries on his neck and chest area and was pronounced dead by paramedics on the scene.

Details surrounding his death are sketchy at present, but police have confirmed that an investigation is underway.

Police in Randburg are reportedly investigating a case of murder, after the man was shot several times while stationery at the red robots.

It is believed that at about 1.25pm, the deceased was driving his vehicle and stopped at the red traffic light at corner Fabriek and Gerhardus streets in Strydom Park.

“Allegedly a white sedan vehicle which was behind the victim, overtook and blocked the vehicle.  Two suspects got out of the vehicle armed with high caliber firearms, one wearing a balaclava and the other, a cap. They then shot the deceased several times,” said Captain Makgowanyana Maja of Randburg Police.

The motive for the killing is unknown and no suspects have been arrested.

“The police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward anonymously and contact Randburg police on (011) 449 9115 or our crime stop line 08600 10111,” said Maja.

The investigation is ongoing.
