No injuries were reported when an unknown number of suspects tried to rob a Weltevreden Park restaurant on 10 October, just before 9pm.
The incident occurred at the La Rosa Mexican Grill and Tequileria. According to an anonymous source on the scene, the suspects were in an out of the restaurant within 15 seconds.

“The criminals came into the restaurant but someone managed to press the panic button. The robbers then panicked and escaped. Nobody was injured and nothing was taken.”
Police were on scene to investigate further. Spokesperson for the Honeydew police, captain Balan Muthan could not immediately be reached for comment. More information will follow as it becomes available.
