#ICYMI: How to assist communities of Zandspruit, Muldersdrift, Honeydew and Diepsloot

FOURWAYS – Community members are called upon to assist the communities of Zandspruit, Muldersdrift, Honeydew and Diepsloot that suffered damage and loss as a result of the storm and tornado that hit on 9 October.

Chairperson of the Douglasdale Community Policing Forum (CPF) Jean Berdou said the CPFs of Douglasdale, Honeydew, Roodepoort and Diepsloot along with Future City Fourways, Fourways Crossing, Pick n Pay head office, Eblockwatch and the charities One Small Act of Kindness and Huddle Up were assisting in collecting much-needed items for the communities in need.

Caxton Local Media is also assisting in the collection of donations.

Berdou said canned food, pet food, toiletries, mealie meal, powdered milk, cooking oil, sugar, bedding and old clothes were among the items needed.

Berdou also said the coordination of the relief distribution will be under the auspices of the area, “Please give generously as we would like to make the first contribution on Tuesday evening.”
