Sharonlea Primary School celebrated its 30th birthday with a community reunion concert.
Members of the community, children, parents and past pupils were present on 22 April for the fun activities, concert, flea market and picnicking on the school fields. Children played on jumping castles and water slides, while parents browsed the craft and food stalls.
The likes of Dirty Moonshine, Dr Victor and the Rasta Rebels, Nasty C and Frank Casino entertained crowds into the evening.
Principal, Carla Hercules, said, “We are overwhelmed by the turnout. I would say approximately 2 000 people have joined us today. It has been a wonderful success. Many past pupils and teachers were reunited today. There is a variety of music of all genres to suit everyone. We thought we would have a reunion concert to open up to the community and let everyone celebrate our birthday with us,” Hercules added.
