RANDPARK RIDGE – Police officers held a prayer to keep safe while working during the Easter period.

They handed out Easter eggs and fruit to children from Thandanani Centre in Zandspruit and then proceeded to Rhema Church in Randpark Ridge for a mass prayer.

The event was organised by female officers in the cluster under the leadership of Sergeant Dipuo Maphanga from Randburg Police Station.

“We had the senior members attending, as per the provincial women’s network,” Maphanga said.

The prayer was arranged to keep police officers safe while fighting crime and protecting residents over the Easter period.

“Most of us are working during this time and we will not have time to go to church,” she concluded.
