- Return it
If you’re lucky, the gift came with its purchase receipt, look at the back to check whether you’re still within the prescribed time for returns. Based on that particular shop and how it operates, you could either ask for a refund or get something else you would like that equals the same amount that the gift was bought for.
- Sell it
Thank technology for the Internet because now you can sell things online with just a click. Post whatever unwanted gifts on trading websites and sell it. It’s cheaper and faster.
- Give it away
There might be someone you had forgotten to buy a gift for and they would like the very same thing that you dislike. Save your pennies and pass it on to the person who would love and appreciate it. What seemed to have been a problem would be solved.
