MUST READ: SPCA pet food stolen
NORTH RIDING - SPCA Randburg needs puppy and kitten food.
Posts doing the rounds on Facebook suggest that a robbery has occurred at the Randburg SPCA, and all the food for the pets in need has been stolen.
General Manager Craig Rudman, said it wasn’t a robbery as such, rather an internal matter that is being investigated.
“On Thursday night, one of our staff members, who was working after hours, allowed a vehicle onto our premises and they loaded their vehicle with bags of dog and cat food. No-one was harmed or forced in any way whatsoever, to give these people the furkid food. The staff member has been arrested and is currently waiting, in jail, for his bail hearing.” the SPCA explained in a Facebook post.
They are however in desperate need of dog and cat food ahead of the festive season!
