Police are on scene at Cosmo City’s ext 4 where the decomposing body of a young woman has been found under a bridge.
Residents of the area took to the Facebook Page ”Cosmo City Rocks” sharing explicit details of the alleged murder claiming the woman was mutilated.
However, according to Florida Police Captain Mtila Dikolonela, no body parts were mutilated but the victim had sustained lacerations due to the fact that her body was found in a bush below the bridge.
”A member of the public who had been crossing over the bridge spotted the body and called police.” Dikolonela said.
”The body was found on the corner of Brazil and Australia Avenues in a decomposed state. The the 23-year-old was found with a cable tie around her neck.” Dikolonela added.
The family who is on scene, reported the 23-year-old as missing on Sunday.
An inquest docket has been opened until further investigations have been conducted.
