Oktober festival hits Randpark Golf Club

RANDPARK - The Oktoberfest recently hit the Randpark Golf Club and fun was had by all who attended.

Trumpets, fun and laughter filled the air at Randpark Golf Club at its annual Oktoberfest.

Visitors and members of the club donned their traditional German gear, lederhosen and dirndls, and took part in the German festivities.

Celebrations got under way on 3 October with the toasting of Weis beer, which was available on tap, alongside a variety of other beer and drinks on offer for guests to enjoy. A menu was specially prepared for the occasion, which included a variety of German dishes, namely grilled eisbein and sauerkraut; bratwurst und zwiebel; frikadellen, hähnchenschnitzel, and apfelstrudel. The convenience of a buffet area was set up for guests.

Live music was played by the Velvet Sounds Oompah Band while children and adults danced with a competition being held for the best dancers of the night. Children also played on the jumping castle set up outside. The evening was a great time for fellow golfers to introduce their teammates to their families.

Juliette Fish, marketing manager of the club said, “A sincere thanks to everyone who made this event such a success.”
