RCCI special women’s day event

RANDBURG – RCCI celebrates the women in business.

The women of Randburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) were spoiled rotten at their special women’s day event.

CEO of RCCI, Linda Blackbeard, opened the event at Hacklebrooke Conference Centre by congratulating all women of South Africa for the success in their prospective industries. Blackbeard discussed how women hold less than 40 percent of managerial positions in the country, highlighting the need for strong, powerful women in business and commerce.

“I celebrate all of the women present today. You are almighty women,” said Blackbeard.

The fun-filled and exciting event saw the women treated to a talk by stylist and image consultant, Janine Starkey from House of Janine .

Starkey spoke to the gathering of women about image. “Image is not only external but internal,” said Starkey. She elaborated on her journey through the fashion world and what ultimately led her to create her hugely successful stylist business.

“We are women, we see ugly before we can even consider beauty,” added Starkey. Her motto to dressing in the workplace is ‘cut, colour and texture’. It is important to understand your body shape and dress to emphasise the parts of your body that are the most flattering.

Each woman was able to be pampered by the OPI nail bars as well as have their style guide evaluated by the House of Janine consultants.

“We had a fabulous day of fun, laughter and great goody bags,” ended Blackbeard.
