Box cart derby at Blairgowrie
BLAIRGOWRIE –Sponge Bobs, ninjas, panda bears and Smurfs push box carts for their school.
Blairgowrie Primary School hosted their annual Box Cart Derby fundraiser on 20 August.
This event is the biggest fundraiser for the school.
Many sponsors from the community including Neighbourhood Real Estates, AJ’s in the Park restaurant and Blairgowrie Spar helped sponsor the day.
Each class decided on a theme for the day and this year the competition was tough. Classes came dressed up as Sponge Bob Square Pants, Smurfs, panda bears, ninjas, Tour de France cyclists and aliens.
Each Grade took ownership of running a food stall for the day. Cakes, boerewors rolls, Middle Eastern food, hamburgers and bacon rolls were all on sale.
Parents, teachers and past pupils also participated in a fun race at the end of the day.
