“I have great hope, two wonderful children who have done well in their lives and increased that size of our family. Time has passed so quickly, I honestly cannot believe it myself. It feels good to raise the confidence of young people in their lives,” said Crewe-Brown.

Crewe-Brown who has lived through two world wars, celebrated her birthday with four generations of her family. Her grandchild Mila Proudfoot said that her grandmother is a graceful and caring person. She learned from her how to always remain calm and positive.

“Our fondest memory is when we were younger, we used to have sleepovers at her house and enjoyed the milk bottle sweets and cheese sandwiches she used to give us. Our birthday wish for her is that she feels loved by everyone around her,” said Proudfoot.

In Crewe-Brown’s spare time she said she enjoys reading, loves watching sports such as cricket, rugby and tennis on television. Her son Dunbar Crewe-Brown said that all of his memories with his mother are fond ones and, God willing, he would like to live as long as her.

Crewe-Brown’s secret to living a long life is to do what you are told to do to stay healthy. “Self discipline also plays an important part taking care of yourself. Always be proud of who you are and never stop taking care of yourself,” she concluded.
