“The RCCI is for business people to come together and interact with each other. It also gives them the opportunity to advertise businesses and access current affairs that are of interest,” Byron explained.

He also gave a report back on business achievements during the year and what was planned for the rest of 2016.

RCCI CEO Linda Blackbeard said that the organisation has amazing opportunities for their members and they have much to look forward to in 2016.

“At present a call to action is being made to all small, medium or large businesses in our area. This is done to engage and work with RCCI to promote entrepreneurship and strengthen business connectivity within our own local area. It has taken a few years but the RCCI has won back the trust of the businesses community and also the respect for what we represent and do as a chamber,” explained Blackhead.

She added that over the past few years the RCCI has established a solid understanding of the African business arena and aided in the introduction of great business deals for their members.

“One such deal was recently closed for a multi-million dollar agreement. We pride ourselves in being a major influence in our members’ achievements. RCCI calls on all businesses to join our chamber as we will have more strength in numbers and our voice will be heard even louder,” concluded Blackbeard.
