When the bright lights came on, the crowd roared with excitement in anticipation for their favourite timeless performer. Richie danced onto the stage singing one of his greatest hits, All night long, which sent fans into a jubilant frenzy. The venue was filled with echos of pure excitement when Richie owned the stage like he always seems to.

The 66-year-old singer and songwriter made fans wonder how he could still perform like an artist half his age. No fan was left disappointed by the ageless artist as he sang his way through the night evoking a great need to dance. The audience also danced to anthems like Running through the night and Dancing on the ceiling.

During a break in his set, Richie thought to explain that there are three kinds of fans who always seem to be in the audience: The fans who have followed him from his time with the Commodores, the fans who joined him from his hit Dancing on the ceiling and lastly, those who always approach him and say the usual line “Mr Richie, my parents would play you all the time when I was growing up”.

Couples who were in the audience appreciated the ballads Three times a lady, Say you, say me and Easy. At times the only thing that seemed to light up the venue was the blue cellphone screens that looked to mimic the flow of the ocean as the audience swayed to the sweet melodies of their most loved tunes.
