Two die and four injured in Cosmo City accident
COSMO CITY – The cause of the car accident is still unclear.
Two people died and four others were injured in the early hours of this morning in a car accident in Cosmo City.
One of the drivers lost control of the vehicle which then fell down an embankment into a small river on South Africa Drive.
ER24 paramedics and Johannesburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) paramedics attended to the incident and found the vehicle on its roof.
“One man was found at the bottom of the embankment, sadly he had succumbed to his injuries. Another who was found on the road, and was also declared dead on the scene,” said ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing.
The other four patients were all men and they sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care. The exact cause of the incident is unknown. Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
