Dog parlour van hijacked with dog inside

FERNDALE – Dog owner searches for her dog while parlour owner searches for van.

A dog is still missing after the van from the Shaggies Dog Parlour, in Ferndale, was hijacked on 12 November.

According to the co-owner of the parlour Gerd Schoeman, he had just put the dog in the van to go drop it off at the owner, when two men came to the car. One of the men got into the van and drove off while the other man took off on foot.

The vehicle is a silver 1993 Nissan bakkie with registration number CRT 794 GP.

The owner of the dog, Betty Lidbetters, urged residents to keep an eye out for her dog Chester,a Maltese cross and dark grey in colour.
