Robin Hills Primary School hosts fundraiser

RANDPARK– The Robin Hills Primary School hosted a fun-filled day to raise funds for the school.

The Robin Hills Primary School hosted an annual fundraiser on 12 September.

This annual fundraiser event was made possible by the school’s governing body and parents who volunteered to help plan it.

Learners, their parents and visitors were treated to a day filled with fun activities and delicious food.

Robin Hills Primary School provided a variety of inflatables that had different functions on the sports field.

Food stalls provided delicious food such as cupcakes, boerewors rolls and fun activities such as bingo.

School principal Danielle Adams said the fundraiser seeks to raise funds for the school.

“The fundraiser also encourages parents to come and see the environment their children learn in. And also meet with teachers and get the opportunity to participate in the fundraiser by volunteering,” Adams said.

There was also a performance by the Robin Rhythmic Girls who are pupils at the school.

This was their first performance where they gave an energetic performance on the sports field.

The groups coach Neo Matitoane said the plan to perform and compete at other schools in the future.

pupils also had the opportunity to participate in karaoke and bingo.

There are also affordable stalls where pupils could purchase fun toys and gadgets to play with.

“One of the benefits of the fundraiser is the educational aspect to it, it helps the pupils to understand the value of money, how to save and manage their money,” Adams said.
