Randburg UIF is back online

RANDBURG CBD – It is all systems go at the Randburg UIF offices as the router has been fixed.

The Randburg Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) branch is back online. This after recipients of UIF alleged that their systems had been offline for several weeks. It was also alleged that the branch was turning applicants away as they were unable to help them.

Chantel de Boucherville said that she has been waiting since April for payment, as well as confirmation of her application. She noted that once she did receive the SMS confirmation, she would gladly return to the Randburg UIF offices.

Communication officer from the Department of Labour Gauteng Sekhothali Lerotholi said that it was all systems go at the Randburg UIF offices. She pointed out that they were experiencing problems with the router, which has now been fixed as promised.

She urged applicants, who were unable to get their applications processed, to return to the Randburg UIF offices to receive their benefits due to them. Lerotholi added that anyone who experienced problems with regard to their UIF application was welcome to call their toll-free hotline.
