EMC to address Cosmo City residents

COSMO CITY – MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation will attend the grievances of residents on the evening of 23 July.

The MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation Molebatsi Bopape visited the Multipurpose Centre on 23 July.

Bopape initially visited the area in order to establish the challenges of the residents.

David Lukhele, a resident, told the MEC that the community sports pitch was not maintained.

“The sports pitch is not properly maintained and it poses danger to children. Needs of our children in our community are not properly accommodated,” Lukhele said.

She visited the community mobile clinic, sports field, library and gym centre.

The nurses who work at the mobile clinic within the Multipurpose Centre, complained about the space allocated to the clinic.

Nurses told the MEC that the clinic was too small and some of the patients are forced to wait outside, before they are attended to by health officials.

Bopape will address these challenges and many other community problems when she leads the imbizo evening of 23 July.
