Wondering what to do in the City of Gold? No worries. The City of Joburg has got something for everyone.

• Northgate Centre road race

Make your way to the 2015 10km or 5km road race on 28 June. The race will start and end at the Northgate Shopping Centre. The starting gun will be fired at 7.30am, and everyone is welcome to enter. Enter online at [www.enteronline.co.za] or enter at the race from 6am at Entrance 4 of the shopping centre.

• Mellisa Allison to perform

Idols season eight finalist Melissa Allison will be performing live on 28 June at Logwood Village in Muldersdrift. You can also watch and bet on the exciting ‘Logwood June Handicap’ horse race with a difference. Logwood Village, a residential home and workshop for adults with mental disabilities, will also be holding its annual Picnic in the Park fundraiser. Gates open at 12pm.

Entrance fee is R100 for adults and R50 for children.

• Go for broke with Mark Banks

South African comedy legend Mark Banks is back with a bang – and this time he is going for broke in his new one-man show Banksrupt – Comedy that’s just common cents, will be staged at the Auto & General Theatre on the Square, Sandton City from 30 June until 11 July 2015.

Tickets are priced at R140.

• Trevor Noah’s Lost In Translation

Join South Africa’s favourite comedian as he will be tickling your funny bone in his Lost In Translation at the Teatro at Montecasino on 25 June until 4 July.

•A Night with the Stars

Join Yvonne Chaka Chaka who will be starring alongside the Johannesburg Youth Orchestra in a Night with the Stars at Joburg Theatre. Tickets range from R150–R300 and can be booked online at https://ticketprodome.co.za/

• Celebrate magical family value packages from Disney on Ice

Showtime Management and Feld Entertainment invite audiences to enjoy an amazing family winter school holiday outing from 26 June until 5 July, at the Ticketpro Dome at its new ice extravaganza, Disney On Ice which presents Let’s Celebrate. The audience will have a chance to see about 50 beloved Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Alice and the Mad Hatter, Lilo and Stitch and many of the Disney Villains and Disney Princesses in a captivating compilation of popular holidays and celebrations from around the globe. You can bring your blanket to keep warm and children are allowed to bring small cushions to place on the seat. However, car seats are not permitted in the auditorium.

• Classic Drive-in at Montecasino

Do you love watching movies? Have you ever wished you can do drive-in movies while you snuggle up with your partner or friends? Well, no worries, from 26 June until 4 July, you can take a trip to Montecasino’s Classic Drive-In. The drive-in movies will take place on selected nights in the outdoor events area. The line-up features great family classics on Friday nights and date night movies on Saturdays. The movie nights come complete with pop-up cafeteria, offering popcorn, candy floss and more. Tickets are available online from Computicket for R200 per car.
