A toddler was flown to a nearby hospital after two vehicles collided on the R512, Lanseria, in the evening of 30 May.
Paramedics from Emer-G-Med, Netcare 911 and City of Joburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) attended to the scene.
According to the paramedics, one vehicle was turning right at traffic lights when the accident occurred.
The vehicle that was turning ended up in a ditch next to the road.
A child who appeared to three years old child sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital for urgent medical care.
