Winter food and crafts market for the family

KENSINGTON B -– Kenbrink Resident's Association will host a winter food and crafts market to create community togetherness on 29 June.

The Kenbrink Resident’s Assoiciation has taken it upon themselves to create a community that is united. The plan is to host a winter food and crafts market between 10am and 2pm on 29 June at the Kensington B park, on the corner of Bayswater Road and Sirdar Street, Kensington B. Residents from Kensington B and surrounding areas have been invited to be part of the event by renting a stand from the resident’s association or just coming through for some socialising and taking the opportunity to get to know their community members. Residents selling food or crafts will be allowed to keep all profits made.

“We want to create a vibe of togetherness where the whole family can come out to the market and make it one big family affair. Face painting, magic shows and some other fun entertainment will be the order of the day as well,” said the association’s public relations officer Arlene Leggat. She added that the Eldorado Park Boys Brigade will be marching down the streets to provide those who did not make it to the market with some entertainment too.

Leggat said that the association wants the market to bring happiness to the community and create more communication among the residents.
