R40 000 goes to Randburg Trauma Centre

FERNDALE – The Randburg Trauma Centre receives a massive hand-up with an outstanding donation.

Vukile Property Fund, management of Randburg Square Shopping Centre, has challenged businesses to fund the Randburg Trauma Centre.

The Vukile Property Fund donated R40 000 to the Randburg Trauma Centre on 8 April.

Simone Homan, portfolio manager for Randburg Square Shopping Centre, said, “We really appeal to all businesses and residents to come to the party to help out the trauma centre.”

Tina White of RMS Corporate Solutions, which also manages the shopping centre, believes businesses will be contributing to a good cause if they become involved.

“This is a challenge for all businesses to donate their product or monetary funds to help a community project that touches all of our hearts,” said White.

The Randburg Trauma Centre, according to Colonel Andries Odendaal of the Randburg Police, is a place where any victim of crime can seek counselling.

“We are very thankful and it warms our hearts to see all the role players coming on board,” said Col Odendaal.

Hennie Oosthuizen of Randburg CPF said, “We deal with everyone from rape and abuse victims. We are in desperate need of a vehicle in which we can transport the victims in a discrete manner.”

Vukile Property Fund is one of the very first donors to come on board to support this project.
