Director of coaching Lodewyk Riekert commented, ”The new blood has given the club a good vibe, the players are showing a lot of spirit.”

The senior side is currently fielding three opens and an U20 side.

Players remarked at how they enjoy the camaraderie of playing rugby, that it is not just a school sport anymore.

The practises are on Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm to 9pm, with matches normally being played on a Saturday between 2pm and 5pm.

Diggers Rugby Club’s season starts in April.

”Without the community and our valued sponsor Circa Staff Solutions we would not be one of the greatest and oldest rugby clubs in Johannesburg,” stated Riekert.
