Randburg SAPS Reservists awarded
RANDBURG – The Randburg Saps Reservists hosted their annual end of the year party.
The Reservist Team of Randburg SAPS attended their Christmas and year-end party on 29 November at the Schwabinger Stuben on Main Avenue in Randburg.
The event hosted the cluster of Randburg Reservists as well as some important representatives from the station itself such as, Cluster Commander Major General Oswald Reddy and Brigadier Lettie Hugo.
”2014 has been a difficult year because the baseline for Randburg is so low, there is always an increase. We must fight crime and make this country more safe and secure. Reservists are a special breed because they need the skill and knowledge of all the procedures to fight crime, and do it for free,” commented Maj Gen Oswald Reddy.
Team leader Captain Brent Kur conducted the lunch by guiding the award ceremony in which members of the Reservist Team of Randburg were given trophies and certificates. Some of the winners were Constable Grant Davis for top contributor.
Top cop of the year was given to Constable Ronald Baloyi and Warrant Officer Sean Petzer.
Best shift for Thursdays was awarded to Sergeant Warren Neal and Sergeant Mark Bewlay and Grant Davis.

Rihm of Schwabinger Stuben was awarded and thanked for his dedication toward the Randburg Police Station.
