The crowd was entertained by big name bands like LCNVL (Locnville), Euphonik, Vin Deysel, Mean Mr Mustard as well as Storm in Africa.

Storm in Africa is a foundation aimed at assisting families and communities that have been torn apart by crime, specifically crime

perpetrated against children, and was founded by Robby Harrison, Storm Harrison, Eugene Dippenaar, Samm Marshall, Soraya Karlie and Grant Potgieter .

Robby Harrison comments, ”The SABC Foundation has united with Storm Foundation In Africa to create a worldwide campaign to unite against the violence our children are being subjected to.

”They have created a project called Thumbs Up. ”The thumb is the most important digit on your hand ā€“ as such, we have created an exclusive glass thumb ring to be worn in the effort to give a ‘thumbs up’ to prevention of violence against children.”

The ring will cost R150 and will be sold at most major retail outlets.

Sam Marshall of Morning Live says, ”I am passionate about the organisation and am excited to see how far we can spread the awareness of violence against children.”

The MC for the event Jason Lume remarks, ”[This project] promotes the community and encourages people of that community to participate. Secondly, Storm Harrison ā€˜Storm in Africaā€™ has created a great platform for youths his age to chase their dreams and fight for a good cause.”
