Saints’ U/13 netball girls lift SACSSA trophy

The U/13 girls won the title for the fourth year in a row after beating Joy House by 10-8 in a tense final.

Saints showed their netball prowess last month with dominating displays during 2024 SACSSA national netball tournament that was held on Saturday 25 May. The U/13 girls won the title for the fourth year in a row after beating Joy House by 10-8 in a tense final. Saints had to fight back with a sterling second-half performance to overcome their opposition from KZN. The U/13s showed grit and tenacity in crucial moments to lift the trophy. The semi-final against hosts, Kings School Robin Hills, was another tight affair where Saints had to regroup after trailing in the first half. Coach Dikeledi Monama’s team talk and smart tactical changes sparked a superb response as they won 7-5. The U/9s and U/11s also had excellent tournaments, both finishing with bronze medals. The U/9s beat West Rand 6-4, while the U/11s won 5-2 against Alma Mater. Our coaches and support staff put in countless hours of effort to bring the best out of our teams and were duly rewarded with medals for all our teams at SACSSA. We also thank all our supporters and parents who cheered the girls on from the side line!
