New Mercedes-Maybach takes luxury to a whole new spectrum

The folks at Maybach have revealed their new Mercedes-Maybach S580 that takes the S-Class’ luxury to a whole new level.
The new Mercedes-Maybach’s wheelbase has been stretched by a good 180 mm when compared with the long-wheelbase S-Class and that simply translates to an expanded rear cabin.
There are two engine options that are on offer, an S580 4Matic that utilizes a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 370 kW and 700 Nm of torque.
Power is sent to all four corners through a 9-speed automatic transmission.
A 3.0-litre plug-in hybrid model will also be part of the lineup and rumours state that a V12 version will also join the range soon.
Occupants inside are treated to a luxurious interior that comes courtesy of heated, cooled and massage seats.
Want to rest after a long day? Well, the rear seats can lie flat into beds. If you want more for your Maybach, there is an optional Executive Rear Package that adds tray tables, extra wood trimming and a small champagne fridge with matching glasses.
The exterior is bolstered with a bespoke two-tone paint finish, Digital Light headlamp LED technology.
