Brothers win big at kickboxing world cup

Two brothers who train out of KFA kickboxing in Potchefstroom, won six medals between the two of them at the WAKO kickboxing world cup in Uzbekistan recently.

Heinru Cato, won three bronze medals while his brother, Wico won two silver and one bronze medal. According to their trainer, Shihan Johan van der Schyff, they showed exceptional sportsmanship and gave true world class performances to end up on the podium among 20 fighters.

“These brothers are growing from strength to strength, after finishing in the top eight in the WAKO world championships in Hungary recently where 68 countries participated. The focus now shifts to the WAKO African continental championship in December where KFA martial arts have 14 fighters competing,” said van der Schyff
