The North West Dragons u.19 girls’ team produced fine performances during the recently-concluded CSA u.19 Girls’ National Cricket Week from 10-14 December in Cape Town.
On an individual level, Deidré van Rensburg (Gimmies) and Karabo Lemphane (Boitoko Tech) were selected for the SA Schools team, a fantastic achievement.
Van Rensburg was exceptional with the bat, hitting fine half-centuries in her side’s opening matches.
Dragons players Nthabiseng Nini (HTS Potch) and Koketso Lesenyego (Boitoko Tech) were chosen for the SA Fillies team.
The Dragons u.19 girls won three matches against Boland, Kei and Easterns, but lost against the Titans and Lions.
