The first ever Laerskool President Pretorius road race took place on Saturday, 14 October with runners from all corners taking on the 5km and 10km challenge.
It was a perfect morning as runners started at finished at the school on a route that also included a lap at the NWU Kenneth McArthur athletics track.

Paseka Ngcana took first in the 10km race in a time of 37:37. Gift Phetoane took second in 19:04 with Melvin Mogomotsi (Boxer) took third in 39:59. Mogomotsi was also late for the race, and still managed to take third.
Helen Makalakala was the first women across the line in the 10km race in a time of 47:33.
Jansen Bell took a first place in the 5km race in 17:20. Isak Hitge took second in 18:59 and Pheko Reitumetse third in 19:44.
Elme Minnie was the first women across the line in 22:21.
