Dragons all-rounder puts Sri Lankans in a spin

Muthusamy had a field day with his left arm-spin as he took 7/122 in the first innings before taking 5/53 in the second

The North West Dragons all-rounder, Senuran Muthusamy, had a fantastic week in the colours of the SA A team in their first unofficial test against Sri-Lanka A.
Muthusamy took career-best first class match figures of 12/175 in the spin friendly sub-continent conditions.
His previous best match figures in first class cricket was 10/90. This was also his third 10-wicket haul in a match in first class cricket.
Senuran Muthusamy is one of the Dragons’ top stars.
Muthusamy has undoubtedly put his name into the hat for the spinner’s role in the test arena as well and will do his chances no harm of impressing the selectors.
Muthusamy had a field day with his left arm-spin as he took 7/122 in the first innings before taking 5/53 in the second as he gave the SA A team some hope.
The SA A batsmen though weren’t up to task as they lost the match by 160 runs.
SA A could only muster 131 all out in the first innings and 185 all out in the second. This after Sri Lanka put on 325 all out in the first innings and 151 all out in the second.
The second unofficial test takes place on Monday, 19 June in Colombo.
