Potch EFC fighter celebrates superb win

Micky Cloete, known in MMA circles as "The Mouse" secured the win via TKO (Technical Knockout) in the second round after a stiff elbow shot opened up Mngoma.

Micky Cloete of Coalition Grappling Academy (CGA) showed the Extreme Fighting Championship what Potch-based fighters are capable of, when he claimed a win against Mphumelelo Mngoma yesterday (Thursday 11 May) at EFC 103.

Cloete, known in MMA circles as “The Mouse” secured the win via TKO (Technical Knockout) in the second round after a stiff elbow shot opened up Mngoma.

“I gave him a big cut and then just finished him off from there. It feels awesome to win my second EFC fight. I am now 2-0 in the flyweight division and I can just move to bigger and better things from here,” stated an elated Cloete.

This talented fighter has grown leaps and bounds under the tutelage of his coach, Roevan de Beer, and everyone involved at Coalition Grappling Academy.

“Micky’s win shows that our system works. It’s not only one athlete from CGA who can make it into EFC,” added De Beer, who himself competes in the bantamweight division of this prestigious championship.
