Stunning athletics action this Wednesday at NWU McArthur Stadium

A big day of top quality athletics lie in wait with a pre-program starting at 14:00. The main program will start at 17:50.

The third leg of the ASA (Athletics South Africa) Grand Prix Continental Tour Challenge will light up the track and field at the NWU McArthur Athletics Stadium on Wednesday, 26 April 2023.

ACNW will host the event which will feature top athletics talent such as African 100m record holder, Ferdinand Omanyala of Kenya as well as the new SA women’s hammer throw record holder, Leandri Geel, amongst other national and international athletes.
Geel threw the hammer 66.11 metres in the second leg of the Grand Prix Continental Tour Challenge on Wednesday, 19 April in Germiston.

The top ACNW athletes will also want to show their class on their home turf this coming Wednesday. Expect ACNW to dominate the javelin events.
Entry is R60 for spectators. Entry is free for schoolchildren in uniform.
