The 2022 Build It u.13 soccer tournament was one to remember for young soccer players who had the opportunity to showcase their skills at the Ikageng Stadium on Saturday, 23 April.
Lesedi FC took the win with a 2–0 victory against Ikageng Academy. It was a fun-filled affair where the sport was the big winner of the day.
The tournament organiser, Oupa Mothibedi, thanked the Ikageng community for their support. He also singled out the J.B. Marks Local Municipality and the store owner of Build It Potchefstroom, Mr Herman Steyn, for their continuous support.
“A big thanks to Zweli Mkhwanazi (chairperson of the junior football J.B. Marks Local Football Association), Engelo Wanyane (former player) and Mr Eddy Modiakgotla and Mr Papi Mogorosi (from the J.B. Marks Municipality) for the support.”
Mothibedi added that hosting such a tournament would not be possible without the help of his mentors, Les Pillay and Clive Barker, his mother Felicia Mothibedi and his girlfriend for their support.
