NWU face Potch Dorp in Club Cricket Premier League this Saturday

It promises to be an exciting Wohnen/Top Paints NW Club Cricket Premier League encounter between two of the top three sides in the league.

NWU 1 are currently in first place on the log after usurping Ibbies following their 84-run win against Taurus this past weekend.

The current log standings:

Potch Dorp 1 are only six points behind NWU on the log, after claiming a narrow two wicket win against Impala in Rustenburg this past weekend. The standout performers in that match for Porch Dorp 1 was Zian de Jager who hit an unbeaten 50* (54) and Corné Prinsloo (7/28) who excelled with ball in hand.

The NWU’s top performers of late is left handed batsman, Heinrigh Pieterse and the second leading run-scorer in the competition, Jared Fuchs.

The NWU also has a strong bowling line-up with Frederik Kotze and Hardus Coetzer in great form.

Other big matches lined up for the weekend include, NWU Ibbies vs NWU Taurus as well as Travelling Reefs taking on Impala Precrete in Klerksdorp.
