The North West Dragons batsmen were skittled out for just 159 in their first innings in the opening CSA 4 Day encounter against the Imperial Lions at the Wanderers this morning.
Wesley Marshall with a T20-like 52 from 36 balls, was the top scorer for the NW Dragons, but he needlessly lost his wicket after a solid start.
The Dragons collapsed from 64/1 to 159 all out in just 40 overs. NW Dragons captain, Nicky van den Bergh scored a solid 41, but the rest of the middle order crumbled against tight Lions bowling.
Duanne Olivier (4/50), Sisanda Magala (2/24) and Lutho Sipamla (3/68) used their pace effectively in the morning session. The Lions are currently on 42/0 after 14 overs.
