Leopards team going all out to break Griffons’ unbeaten record

Danrich Visagie will also captain the team again with the dangerous Sylvester "Stallies" Hassien starting at scrum-half.

The Leopards and Griffons will face off in a crucial Currie Cup First Division clash at Olen Park this coming Saturday, 17 July at 15:00.

The Leopards will play their first match on home soil this season, with veteran, HP Swart, returning to bolster the side against the Griffons.

Swart, who has more than 80 Leopards caps to his name, will start at eighthman with former Griffons lock, Vincent Maruping, facing his former team mates.

Shirwin Cupido, the substitute scrum-half is also another former Griffons player. Danrich Visagie, another former Griffon, will also captain the Leopards again with the dangerous Sylvester “Stallies” Hassien starting at scrum-half. Left wing, Eugene Hare, has had a superb season thus far and will look to his try tally.

There is also a welcome return for former captain and dynamic loose forward, Edmund Rheeder, who will provide power from the bench.

The Griffons though also have a number of dangerous players in their line-up. Centres, Neil Stannard and Duan Pretorius have been in top form.

Sokuphumla Xakalashe will also be a player to look out for in the battle of the losse forwards with his oppostie number, Swart.

It all promises to be a massive encounter in Potch tomorrow.
