NWU Tawana one step closer to ABC Motsepe goal

NWU Tawana has now booked their ticket for the interprovincial playoffs in Vryburg as the Dr Kenneth Kaunda representatives this coming Saturday (21 November).

The NWU Tawana footballers returned to the pitch for competitive action last Sunday, 15 November. They showcased their talent and drive with a playoff-clinching win. The Potch-based Tawana side participated in the SAFA Dr Kenneth Kaunda playoffs against some top local sides. The team came out victorious with a 4–2 win on penalties against NW Signal FC after the match ended 1–1 in regulation time.

NW Signal FC beat NW Bokone FC 4–0 in the first semi-final, while NWU Tawana overcame Kanana Shining Stars 4–3 in a pulsating encounter. The final was a tense affair, but the purple and black Tawana side prevailed against a game Signal FC outfit.

NWU Tawana has now booked their ticket for the interprovincial playoffs in Vryburg as the Dr Kenneth Kaunda representatives this coming Saturday (21 November). “The main goal is to gain pro- motion to the ABC Motsepe League in 2021 and we are looking forward to these upcoming games,” added the head coach, Michael Seleka.
