The 2019 Netball World Cup in Liverpool, England has seen its fair share of drama in the first preliminary round with South Africa’s Proteas securing a fantastic first time 55-52 victory against Jamaica.
The Proteas showed grit as they beat the number 2 ranked team in the world by a whisker. Two former NWU netball players, Renske Stoltz and Sigi Burger are also on the team that will look to bring the cup home, or at least make the semi-finals as their first priority.
SA fixtures (Second preliminary round):
Scotland (Monday 15 July 18:25 SA Time)
Uganda (Wednesday 17 July 20:00 SA Time)
England (Thursday 18 July 21:00 SA Time)
