“I was brought up to respect my elders, but this is a completely different circumstance,”

These were the menacing words from Congolese native Adolphe “The Tiger” Mukaba about his upcoming fight with MMA veteran Morgan Hunter.

Mukaba who trains out of Coalition Grappling Academy (CGA) in Bailliepark, is looking to retire the 42 year old Hunter.

Coming off a quick finish in his debut fight at Klerksdorp Fight Night Mukaba is as ferocious as his nickname suggests. a Strong Judo and Boxing background coupled with the high level grappling that coach Roevan de Beer has taught him, he looks to be a well rounded athlete.

Although he will have to be on his guard when facing Hunter who is a skilled technical striker and has years of experience in the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA).  Hunter walks into the cage with a record of three wins and two losses. While Mukaba  so far has only one win under his belt, for The tiger this is something that he would want to remedy when he faces off against Hunter.

“We’ve never faced off, but we have similar backgrounds and it should be a good fight. I’m really looking forward to it,” was the response of Hunter when asked about the fight.

This is the first foray into the EWC for team CGA who have had great results at Klerksdorp Fight Night (KFN) and Fightstar (FS).

Armando De Crescenzo went the distance at KFN against a much more fancied opponent where he pulled off a sensational unanimous decision victory. On the same night the referee had to stop Mukaba’s fight early in the first round as his ground and pound proved too much for his opponent to handle.

Most recently Francois “The Business” Meyer also from CGA, competed at the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation tournament, where he represented team South Africa.
