The Lions and Titans battled it out in the CSA 4-Day Franchise Series at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom from 29 October to 1 November.
The match ended in a draw after both sides’ batsmen got stuck in on a batting-friendly strip. The Lions batted first and scored 530 all out with Rassie van der Dussen scoring 175 (257) and Wihan Lubbe hitting a fine 166 (267).
The Titans then continued the run-fest, hitting 419 all out in their first innings, thanks to Proteas batsman, Dean Elgar hitting a brilliant 128 (200). Beuran Hendricks was the top bowlers for the Lions with his 3/77.
The Lions finished their second innings on 154/5 at the close of play on the fourth day. The experienced Stephen Cook scored 51 (77).
