The North West Dragons women’s batter, Lizelle Lee, recently made the headlines when she smashed a brilliant century for the Proteas Women in their ODI series in England this past week.

Lee scored an unbeaten 92 (128) in the first ODI to guide the SA Women to an easy 7 wicket victory against England. Lee then continued on her merry way in the second ODI with a fantastic 117 (107) which included 13 fours and 5 massive sixes. It was in a losing effort at the Bristol County Ground as England claimed a 69 run victory.

Lee has now amassed 209 runs in two innings before falling for 2 in the third ODI at the Canterbury Oval in SA’s 7 wicket defeat this past Friday night.

Lee was one of SA”s bright stars in the series and will look to continue her good form in the upcoming tri-series involving England and New Zealand. This series starts on Wednesday, 20 June when SA take on NZ at Taunton.
