Bowlers fire North West Dragons to One Day title

The North West Dragons are the 2017/18 CSA Provincial One Day Champions after a brilliant bowling display saw them claim a 34 run win against Gauteng in the final today (Sunday, 8 April) at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.

North West batted first and hit 179 all out with Janneman Malan contributing a top score of 69. In reply Gauteng crumbled under pressure in their chase as they were bowled out for 145. Wihan Lubbe (3/21) and Bjorn Fortuin (2/27) were the chief destroyers for the Dragons with ball in hand.
