The NWU Pukke Cricket Club has started preparing for the Red Bull Campus Cricket Challenge 2017 that will take place in Sri Lanka from 10-16 September.
The Pukke boys faced Tuks in the 2017 Varsity Cricket final earlier this year and came out victorious by four wickets to claim the title for the first time since Varsity Cricket was introduced in 2013. According to the head coach, Conrad de Swardt, this talented Pukke team is raring to go.
‘This is the best group of cricketers the club has produced in a long time and we are only looking to grow. Therefore, it is important that we get the young players involved in this new winning culture the club has created.’

The squad will be travelling to Sri Lanka on 7 September 2017, three days after the first round of the Africa Cup that will take place at Senwes Park from 1 to 3 September 2017. The majority of the squad will represent the North West Dragons in this CSA competition.
